Updated Entry Requirements for Nicaragua
As the pandemic situation evolves, the Nicaraguan government has revised its entry policies related to COVID-19. Starting from July 2023, the previous requirements for presenting a vaccination card and a negative PCR test for all travelers are no longer mandatory to enter the country.
Changes in Entry Rules
- Vaccination Card: The Nicaraguan government no longer requires travelers to present a COVID-19 vaccination card upon entry. This means that travelers do not need to prove that they are fully vaccinated to enter Nicaragua.
- PCR Test: As of July 2023, it is no longer mandatory to present a negative PCR test for COVID-19 as a condition to enter the country. This simplifies the entry process for travelers as they are no longer required to undergo testing before their trip.
Even though the vaccination card and PCR test are no longer required for entry into Nicaragua, it is still highly recommended for travelers to be fully vaccinated before their journey.
While the new rules ease entry into Nicaragua, it does not mean that health precautions should be neglected. It is important to continue practicing personal hygiene measures, such as frequent hand washing, wearing masks in crowded areas, and maintaining social distancing, to help prevent the spread of the virus.
We hope this information has been helpful for planning your trip to Nicaragua.
Safe travels and take care!
